Summer Excursions
It has always represented an irresistible challenge for all mountain enthusiasts, who have carried out the most memorable feats in the history of mountaineering here. It is possible to cross Mont Blanc by means of what has been defined as the eighth wonder of the world: a cable car that leaves from La Palud climbs to Colle del Gigante and Punta Helbronner, then reaches Aguille du Midi in altitude 3842, descends into the Arve Valley and then reaches Chamonix. The grandeur and majesty of the Mont Blanc massif are made up of a variety of minor peaks, with crests and buttresses, including Mont Maudit (4465 m.), Mont Blanc du Tacul (4248 m.), The Dente del Gigante (4013 m.), the Grandes Jorasses with Punta Margherita (4065 m.). The Miage glacier, in the western sector of the massif, 8 kilometers long is the largest on the Italian side.

Winter sports
A week at the foot of Mont Blanc
Winter is one of the most spectacular seasons: immaculate ice laces capture the morning light, shining dew drips in the sun, darkness shrouds the evening sky. A holiday at the foot of Mont Blanc is absolutely thrilling. Many sports are available: heliski, La Toula downhill run accompanied by the Courmayeur alpine guides, alpine skiing (the cable car is within a stone’s throw of the hotel) and nordic skiing in Val Ferret; snowboard, ice climbing, or simply a night excursion with snowshoes absorbed in an almost surreal stillness. It is always fascinating to reach Punta Helbronner via the Mont Blanc cable car and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Alps as well as visiting the crystal museum.
Summer sports
The Aosta Valley mountains enclose, like a casket, charming valleys, big, small, steep or gentle, all with their beauty without time for you to unveil, rich in legend, traditions and uncontaminated nature.
Easy nature walks for everyone
Vallée Blanche
In twenty minutes the Mont Blanc cable car takes you up to Punta Helbronner, 3,462 meters a.s.l., where you can experience the tempting high mountain itinerary through the Vallée Blanche: twenty kilometres of a scenic off-piste run amongst legendary peaks and extraordinary glaciers that ends up in France. It is the ideal combination of skiing, sun and fun.
E-Bike
This type of activity gives the opportunity to use the modern way to reach mountain places without polluting. Thirty years ago there was Mountain Bike and today there is E-Bike!
Using an E-Bike is easier than any other bike, because the cyclist can use the pedal assistance to eliminate any effort.
Golf
The name of Courmayeur is closely linked to Mont Blanc and sport lovers can find a remarkable variety of activities. The spectacular 9-hole golf course in Val Ferret, par 68, boasts a matchless scenery amongst pines and larches. 1,560 metres a.s.l., it is almost totally flat, winds up for 5,170 meters and crosses the river twice. Open from June to September, it has a club house, a bar and a restaurant.
Rafting
Rafting is a water sport that takes place aboard a rubber dinghy on a stream or river. The crew members are equipped with paddles and, in order to descend the river safely, they must overcome natural obstacles such as rocks or rapids that the stream presents. It is practicable at all levels, both on the most impetuous rapids and on quiet paths, comparing it to skiing it can be done from Freeride to the bottom.
Hunting
Game in mountain territories has always been a gift from nature. Since ancient times it has meant nourishment to be added to the scanty produce of the soil. In fact many of our ancestors were hunters; the more able was the hunter, the better it would be for his family, both foodwise and economically.
Hunting is a great family tradition: the knowledge of the location of the animal trails is secretly handed down from father to son.
